Join One Martin For The 4th Annual Farm City Luncheon
Article Posted on September 1, 2021
Dear Friends,
After having to cancel our luncheon in 2020 due to circumstances beyond our control, the One Martin Board, in partnership with the Martin County Farm Bureau, is pleased to extend this invitation to you to join us for our 4th Annual Farm-City Luncheon on Thursday, November 18, at the estate home of Paul and Lehr Felipe in Palm City.
A delicious, gourmet, farm-to-table lunch will be served up by Chef Mark Muller using locally sourced foods contributed by Fresh from Florida, Adams Ranch andHouse of Hope's production farm in Palm City.
Our Keynote Speaker, J. Scott Angle, PH.D., is Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). Dr. Angle is a national leader in developing the science that supports food production and management of natural resources. As chief executive of the agriculture and environmental sciences arm of a leading land-grant university, he champions public science as a path to improve lives and reduce human suffering.
We hope you will join us for important conversations about how farmers and ranchers work hard to provide a nutritious, abundant food supply here in Martin County and around the world. Recognizing how they are true stewards of the land, maintaining greenspace, wildlife habitat and freshwater recharge areas. Also for discussion is how consumers help sustain farms by purchasing the superior quality foods, fibers and renewable fuels we produce and how businesses in urban areas supply, sell and deliver finished agricultural products to those who need them. In short, the essential relationships between farmers and consumers and the very reason we celebrate them during Farm-City Week.
The luncheon sells out quickly each year, and we expect this year to be no different. To purchase your tickets or to become a sponsor, click on one of the buttons below.
